DAS in Action – New Orleans

SDT attends the DAS in Action event held in New Orleans, LA. It was a great opportunity to hear wonderful speakers such as Scott J. Semone (Verizon Wireless), Dan Harkness (ADRF), Chad Townes (AT&T Antenna Solutions Group), Mario Bouchard (iBWave), and many others speak on the direction of the industry, the challenges ahead and the need for qualified infrastructure service companies such as SDT!

There was a very interesting Tour of a French Quarter DAS Installation, intriguing industry growth projection on DAS and Small Cell applications and great opportunities to learn more about the latest in equipment design and capabilities for tomorrow’s infrastructure.

At the Das in Action in New Orleans, Iain Gillot, President of iGR, a leading industry analyst may have most succinctly answered the question. “What is a small cell?” for this fledgling technology, by stating – “If it’s not nailed to a tower, it’s a small cell.”
